The moog inner tie rods are larger diameter, so you need to drill out the smooth sleeve larger to slide over the inner tie rod. The threaded portion is correct and doesn’t need to be touched.

I got the foz on a lift and reproduced the sound by pushing the driver’s side inner tie rod into the rack. The outer tie rod ends need replacing anyway, I’m leaking PS fluid, and the boots are ripped. I can think of better ways to spend $600. Parts swap. They should fit fine. The only difference you may find would be mating the tie rod ends to the center link, may have a different diameter on the tie rod than a 6 cyl Mustang. I took the front spindles and brakes off an early 70’s Merc Capri and bolted them to my 66 with no problem at all.
