I have tried the 15 inch 2005 Camry wheel on 2005 Matrix, but bolt pattern was larger. But in a similar venture, I was looking to get 15 inch wheels without the wide low profile tires for snow season on the Matrix. The snow tires in the wide/low profile didn’t seem very effective.

But apparently the lugnuts TireRack is sending will fit better with the 15 inch wheels they are providing and the center ring needed to appropriate a good fit. 1/10 of an inch isn’t much difference between these taller tires (despite smaller rims) and the low profile 18s.

Why 8 inch wide wheels? I might could understand a wider ( reverse) on the rears but not on the fronts. If using the stock suspension, a wide low profile tire works against you. 1960s-70s factory steel wheels measure 6.5. I would go no bigger than 15×7. Earlier than 1966 Ford wheels were narrower 5.5 or so. In 1951 narower still.
